About Me I am a accredited counsellor, member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and clinical supervisor for the counselling profession.
I work with the full spectrum of relationships. My work covers the unique challenges of the couple relationship alongside the individual relationships we have with others and ultimately the relationships with ourselves i.e. what we tell ourselves and how we see ourselves etc.
I work online or by telephone and draw my clients from all over the UK and abroad.
My aim is to help you find the best way forward, create an honest understanding of your issues, build confidence and quietly support you in a manner that is calm, compassionate and respectful. I aim to listen to what is said and what is not said, help you to find meaning behind thoughts and feelings, overcome obstacles and gain confidence in tackling issues.
My experience comes from having worked in a very busy NHS counselling service (IAPT), that dealt with a large number of referrals, from GPs and Primary Care. I've supported the work of a charitable organisation committed to providing counselling for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Now I work exclusively in private practice.
What can you expect from me? Whether as an individual or as a couple, you can expect to be treated with care. Whatever you are going through my aim is to help you find relief from the issues that cause you emotional distress. I am able to quietly support you in a way that is warm, respectful and caring. I am committed to helping you develop and achieve the things that matter to you. I aim to listen, understand, speak with empathy and interest.
I work across a broad spectrum of emotional difficulties.
